I don't get why Theyskens' Theory shipped all the way over here to run against Winter Memories. I've followed her races in England and she can barely get a mile, nevermind a mile and an eighth. She's not a BC horse, so unless Andrew Rosen intends to keep her here, I don't get the move. She would have been better off running at a distance she likes against older fillies ...next week in the Sun Chariot.

since it's obvious that you know more than the trainers, maybe you should open a consulting firm where the trainers ask you where they should run next. big money in that, GL

What the heck is your problem? We have to agree with trainers all the time? If you are a fan of a baseball or football team, I'm absolutely sure you agree with the manager 100% of the time.........right?

Do you get your back up like this all the time?

Well excuse me, but why don't you tell me why this is a good move for the filly ? Are you familiar with her at all?

I dunno why I bother, since your shtick is always the same.

She's clearly not good enough to tackle top fillies and mares in Europe. Her ceiling is Group 3's and listed stakes. My guess is that doesn't turn them on. Why not go after a Grade 1 against American turf horses? I'm as big of a Winter Memories fan as anyone, but she's not unbeatable. Secondly, running a mile on some of those boggy European turf courses is pretty comparable to running nine furlongs on a firm American course. She's far from hopeless in this spot.

You honestly think she would be better placed in the Sun Chariot?

Outstanding turn of foot. Exploded from last to first in the last 50 yards. Patient ride by Castellano (thought she was totally blocked and had no chance approaching the last sixteenth).

And you are always rude, so I have no idea why I am responding to you. I'm sure you followed her races in Europe and have a clue about how good she is or isn't, right?. I love how you try to "guess" when you could have taken the time to read any quote from Brian Meehan about her. If you had taken the time, then maybe you'd see that he is extremely high on her, but you didn't take the time.......and this is his most recent quote about her.

Theyskens' Theory: She deserves to win a Group 1 and she should relish the fast ground that has been forecast. She did well to win her listed race at Sandown last month and this has been the plan ever since. It is such a shame the ground went against her at Royal Ascot as she would have gone very close on a quicker surface. She looked magnificent before she left for America, she is a genuine Group 1 filly, and although this is obviously a hot race (she faces the 1-2-3 from last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf), I would be very hopeful she would be involved in the finish.
**

Yes, it sounds like Meehan thinks her ceiling is as low as you apparently do. Do I need to explain to you that he clearly thinks she's good enough to compete against the best in Europe?

A trainer high on a horse? I'm shocked.

What is supposed to say?

And as always, you're dead god damn wrong about a horse's placing and she ran a great race. The quote basically says what I said. They wanted to get her a Group/Grade 1 and thought this was the best spot to do so. Which she almost did, so I don't know what kind of mental gymnastics you had to do to come away from this thread feeling like you're the one who's vindicated.
