Is it the same thing?
I have just saw that the Skins are a 9 point favorite against the Cowboys and realized that the Cowboys are going to rest everyone. So where is the outrage here? You are talking about a game that will affect the standings. Isn't this game more important than a game between two teams that has no impact on other teams trying to make the playoffs? But I guess this isn't a news worthy topic.

Its the Cowboys party
they can do what they want to. Its just tough luck for teams who have to rely on others to get in at this point. Although I never wish to see anyone hurt, would it not be fantastic irony to see Brady go down and unable to make the playoffs? New England hatred builds... Which is good for the NFL. |

i don't think there's any outrage because teams like the browns put themselves in the position of needing help. it isn't indy's fault and it isn't their responsibility to risk their own playoff chances to give the browns a shot. ditto dallas. |

Well said. If a team is in a "must win" situation in the last week of the season, they should've taken care of business earlier to avoid their predicament. And teams like Dallas, Jax and Indy have every right to rest their starters if they wish to. |

NYG-NE
Buress is expected to start after practicing on Wed. for the first time on a Wed. in 7 weeks. Coughlin: "“We are going to prepare and play as hard as we can.” - NY Daily News Indy-Ten Well expect Manning and Wayne to light it up in the first quarter and part of the second, then sit. Dungy wants Harrison out there for some plays. Seattle-Atl Holmgren wants the players to go, and especially Hackett back out there. GB-Det McCarthy says its a go for the starters. I guess the truth could be looked at Favre playing the whole game last week in the blowout loss to the Bears. JAX-Hou - Jax is sitting CAR-TB - TB is sitting - Garcia for a quarter, Graham for less. Pit-Balt - Pit to be resting, and probably still win. SD - rest and win Dallas - rest and lose

Who freaking cares. Win your games and you get in. I am a die hard cleveland homer and if they can't beat Cincinnati last week they don't deserve to get in....that's all they had to do. The Colts have the perogative to rest their players against Tennessee if if they want to. The vikings played the Redskins straight up at home last week and lost. They don't deserve it either. I have zero problem with INdy or Dallas resting their players if they desire. Win more games if you want to get in the playoffs and you don't have to worry.

If you win your games and get into the playoffs BEFORE the last week of the season, then you can do what you want.. After all how can you win the super bowl if you dont win your first playoff game ?

game means nothing to the cowboys. they have a bye, home field advantage thru the playoffs. if they played their starters and any got hurt, then a different thread would start, demanding to know why the boys played their starters in a meaningless game.
of course the game means everything to the skins, so i would assume they will be playing their hardest. so, you're wade phillips. what would you do? i'd do exactly what he's doing, sit the starters.
