Default The Hawk's year??

• Brady Anderson
• Harold Baines
• Rod Beck
• Bert Blyleven
• Dave Concepcion
• Andre Dawson
• Shawon Dunston
• Chuck Finley
• Travis Fryman
• Rich Gossage
• Tommy John
• David Justice
• Chuck Knoblauch
• Don Mattingly
• Mark McGwire
• Jack Morris
• Dale Murphy
• Robb Nen
• Dave Parker
• Tim Raines
• Jim Rice
• Jose Rijo
• Lee Smith
• Todd Stottlemyre
• Alan Trammell

I can't believe this HOF Ballot, but if Dawson isn't the best player on the list, then I have no idea about baseball. Maybe a Lee Smith/Dawson DD for the Cubs.

Bert Blyleven is the best player on that list.

Dunston?? Are you kidding... is this just cause he had a stint with the Cubs?

You might see a couple of guys sneak in this year. You have to figure that most of the people that have the ballots are baseball purists. They can not be happy what is going on in the game right now. So if they put in a few guys (especially fan favories) like Dawson, Murphy, Mattingly, Smith and Morris. Then maybe the sport will get a few days of positive exposure, instead of the daily accusations and denials that is going on now. Speaking as a Yankee fan, I know it would be absolutley huge if Donnie Baseball got in. It won't change the fact that the game will still be in chaos, but at least it would something positive for a sport that could use any kind of good feel good story.

Gossage is a must-go. Rice, Blyleven and Dawson all have a shot. The others don't, IMO.

I agree with this assessment 100 percent. I'd put Blyleven very close at number 4...and then Lee Smith at 5.
