I will shower (not bathe), if you Morton, can force yourself through sheer mental will, to burst spontaneously into flames. Concentrate. Think conflagration.

You are correct. You march to the tune of a different tuba.

It gives me great comfort to know that you are keeping track of my progress, or lack thereof. The thought that you attempt to assess progress is a bit more than disconserting.

I had the number one pick in my fantasy league and picked Randy Moss. People laughed at me. They aren't laughing now although I must admit that even though I think he's the best player in the game, I didn't expect this kind of production. Can he get seven more td's over the next two games to break Jerry Rice's record of 22 and do it in the same number of games? I wouldn't be against it.

unless you have some unusual scoring that remains a terrible pick. tom brady is outscoring moss in every legit scoring format i know of. and he would have been a horrible #1 pick in september.

i laughed at the guy who took adrian peterson in the 4th round and left marshawn lynch on the table for me.

that guy has legit bragging rights.

taking a wr #1? no kickers you liked better?

Knowing how the public loves to bet its hometown teams, I imagine the local bookmakers in Boston have gotten murdered this year. The Red Sox take the WS, the Pats have only failed to cover once, and now the Celtics are on a straight up and ATS roll.

Update:

The Red Sox won the World Series.

The Patriots just finished the regular season undefeated and set an NFL record for most points ever scored (breaking the record of the 1998 Minnesota Vikings; Randy Moss played for them too....coincidence???).

The Celtics are 26-3 and could very easily be 29-0. In their three loses:

-came from 20 down to lose at Orlando 104-102 and had chance to win it on the last shot.

-lost in overtime at Cleveland 109-104 when Ray Allen uncharacteristically missed two free throws in the final half minute and LeBron James killed them for 38 and 13 assists.

-lost to Detroit 87-85 when Chauncey Billups hit two free throws with .1 left on the clock.

To be fair, there have been some last minute wins in there too so things have a way of evening out. But they've been in every single game this year. For those of you that said that defense would be the problem, the Celtics are leading the league in holding opponents to the fewest points, lowest field goal and three point percentages, biggest rebound differential, and are third in the league in steals.

Admission of stupidity:

The Celtics play defense.
Doc Rivers has really done a good
job with this team.

Still got to wait to see them
make the Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston tour though.
Patty cake schedule so far.
However, first significant road trip,
ending LA was a sign they are good.

I think the Jags are the one team that could beat New England. At their best, Indy could too, but with all the injuries they've had, I don't see it. But Jville is very tough and physical; the kind of team that wins games in January. If the Pats do win next week, it may be downhill from there.
