Default How do you become a handicapper for DRF?

I think it would be a fun job to be one of those guys that writes comments on the side of the past performances. How do you get a job like that? I mean there must be some available since there are many tracks around the country. Are they paid well?

No they never did respond, honestly though i had no right even sending my resume in, there was really nothing that qualified me to be a Public Handicapper.........
Me crushing Hoss in " The Big Contest " could do wonders for my resume though

The Form has been trimming handicapping staff for 2 years, and they especially have little use for handicappers. In the past 24 months, full timers like Lauren Stich, Dave Tuley, Brian Pochman and more were offered contracts as outside workers (no benefits) in an on-going purge to cut costs. Many of the Closer Look writers became outside contracted and just 2 weeks ago most of the NY handicapping desk (Grabowski, Malecki, Kachulis, Gropper) was eliminated. Only Litfin and Kenny Peck remain. Point is, the idea of signing on at DRF right now as a handicapper is the longest of longshots.

If they could really handicap, then they would be betting(not writing.)

My dream is shattered then lol.

Hey does anyone follow FormBlog when they do their Handigambling thing? They usually pick a race and have everyone bet a mythical $100 any way they want to on that race. I just did a straight $100 win bet on Forty Grams (they were using Churchill's 9th race today). Forty Grams actually won, and now I am kicking myself for not actually playing the race. I think I was one of two people to do a straight $100 win bet on him.
