Default So the Parx Pick-6 went away?

Hello everyone,

I have been absent because of tough work schedule as of late, but noticed some time ago that the anemic carryover number for Parx was no longer shown on Equibase, and then that you never see the Pick-6 listed for that track. Any idea when this happened?

I'm not complaining. It never paid well and on the occasions when I play the Pick-6 I chase the money like everybody else at the New York Tracks, Santa Anita or Gulfstream when it gets big.

Hope you are all well....

Joe D.

Yes, very unfortunate for those 4 guys who played it.

The pick 6 is such a hard bet to win at that minimum. I can't imagine who would play it at Parx for such a paltry pool. If I were to play Parx I'd focus on the Pick 3. They have some nice overlays and twice in the last 3 weeks it paid out to 2 of 3

I taught my friend a valuable lesson. He had the $91 consolation 5 times over, but ripped the ticket when his horse lost. He's never before heard of 2 of 3 lol.

Now, on to MY bonehead play of the weekend:

Opening night at Churchill I decided to join my degenerate friends over at the Turf Club. I played a $5 pick 3 starting in race 7. The ticket was 4 with 3 with 3,7 for a total of $10. The ticket hits for $560. I go in my pocket for the ticket. Gone. Looking everywhere for it. Gone. The janitor at the Turf Club swept my ticket up off of the table while I was on the other side of the room talking about the Kentucky Derby with my buddy Bob. I throw on a pair of plastic gloves and proceed to look in each trash can for my winning ticket. No luck. Management needs the machine number and an approximate time that I placed the wager. I provided them with it. They were able to freeze the ticket. Management told me that I will have to contact the Pennsylvania Gaming Commission and try to plead my case with them. He said I was most likely fighting a largely uphill battle. I have zero confidence in getting paid by the state.

Anyone ever have a similar issue? Ever? in PA perhaps?

I've had a similar issue twice at Gulfstream. Both times they froze ticket, confirmed my info, and gave me the cash. What I do now, is sometimes take a picture of my ticket on my iPhone. Especially if I hit a good starter horse to a sequence.

Thanks buddy. Good to hear, and glad you got your cash. Lets hope I have the same luck here in PA. I, too, take pictures of most of my tickets. Most is about to become ALL now though lol.

and Jim, im usually more of a back pocket for losers, front right pocket for live action yet to run, and left pocket is for multi race tickets that are live.

Good luck this weekend guys! Lets crush it!

Gotta have the sisters and brothers for the write offs. Good way to never throw a winner away is to throw none away
. Had a voucher blow away once . It took till the year ended , but Suffolk gave me the bread then.
Back in real old days threw away a $2 win ticket on a hoss names Moon Can Do. $16 hoss . Me and my brother found it in the leaves in the dark after about a 30 minute search
