Cherokee Run between horses. Perhaps Say Florida Sandy on the rail, although those look like Giles Brophy's silks. An Overbrook horse on the outside.

Correct on Cherokee Run, Say Florida Sandy was born the year the photo was taken.. The Giles Brophy horse on the rail was a NY bred. The outside Overbrook runner sired Menifee among others..

Harlan is the Overbrook colt. I think the only time I saw a race of his was the BC Sprint. I thought he was a lighter color.

Ii can't recall the Brophy horse, but there appears to be a Robert Perez horse taking its usual position among the back markers. Cherokee Run was second in the Preakness to Prairie Bayou and coming in third, edging out Derby winner Sea Hero was the Panamania wonder horse...El Bakan.

Yeah, that's Harlan..

The Brophy horse will probably only be familiar to people who watched a lot of NY racing back in 93,94,95.. He won the Empire Classic in one of those years..

That Perez is Kyoko, a former Paulson runner... Perez used to purchase a lot of horses from Paulson.. the following year they came back with Yappy in the same race.

Yup, thats Itaka with Pat Valenzuela.. taken on Super Saturday 1994..

Virginia Rapids was the favorite.. Birdonthewire had fallen on some hard times in 94 and hadn't regained the same form from the previous year..

That would be really great.. thanks a lot.

Unfortunately I don't have anything from the 76 Triple Crown right now.. it's difficult to come across stuff that far back. Sometimes old broadcasts will pop up on ESPN Classic.

If I ever come into possession of it I will post it..
