I never thought I'd see a day where the sure to be post time favorite in a $10 million race will come in having blown 3 stretch leads in a row - two of them to very shabby 8-year-old geldings on the grass and the other to a mare who some think would win the Indy 500 by a neck if given the chance.

According to some comments on TVG this morning, Gio Ponti has not looked good since he arrived. In fact, they he's looked really bad.

He was RNA'd for just 45K at a March 2yo sale ... I'm going to guess he's not the kind of horse who's going to wow anyone with looks... especially if they've never seen him before.

If all the analysts at TVG exclude him from their tickets you better fire on him.
