Default Tampa-Opening Day Pick 4

Gonna stick with the Pick 4 play for now. Will try and find some spot plays later, after getting a better feel for how the track is playing.

IMO, there appears to be a couple vulnerable ML faves in the first 2 legs, so we will try and sneak a price in those races and see what happens from there.

Race 8

#2 ITS DOMS TURN - 5-1ML - Runs for lowest tag to date, saves ground and may get overlooked on tote WINS $11.00
#3 BITE THE WILD - 8-1ML - Irwin knows horse well, Ramos solid in relevant %'s
#6 CAUSIN CONFUSION - 12-1ML - Toss last in slop, 3rd off, should be dead fit
#8 DREARY - 3-1ML - Tough read coming out of Iowa state bred races

Race 9

#2 SAMY GOOD LUCK - 8-1ML - Another Ramos runner, see how numbers transfer from Suffolk
#3 TYPE A PERSONAILTY - 4-1ML - 2nd behind runaway winner in Ohio Freshman
#5 SNEAK A COLD TREAT - 12-1ML - Luis stays up, had quiet solid meet last year, capable at a price
#6 ALEX INGRAM - 10-1ML - Scace/Cotto duo dangerous, good luck getting 10-1 on Smoke Glacken gelding
#8 PRINCE CORTEZ - 3-1ML - Short price on Mountain maiden winner, R. Allen slow start to last years meet, banking on the same this year WINS $5.20

Race 10

#2 BUCKYS PRAYER - 5-2ML - Bennet family mare should be tough from the bell.
#4 CHARLIE PAPA - 9-2ML - 6YO Indian Charlie mare 3 for 3 over Tampa grass
#6 ROYAL REGAN - 15-1ML - Cotto up, filly knows Tampa grass well, 2 wins, 2 seconds WINS $19.80

Race 11

#8 FIORE DE - 8-1ML - Better effort coming 2nd out for Kelly Kip colt
#10 ELEANORS GROOM - 8-1ML - Velez should have her flying down the lane, first time McBride
#12 HANGING IN THERE - 7-2ML - Songandaprayer colt moves from 7% trainer to 29% trainer, Centeno sees fit, stalk and pounce from the outside.

Big ticket $180

2,3,6,8/2,3,5,6,8/2,4,6/8,10,12

Small Ticket $48

2,3,6/2,3,5,6/2,4/8,12

I wish sweetheart. Not off again until Tuesday...which just happens to be the next day that Tampa is running

Hope you are well.

Spot plays:

Race 1: 9 - Eclectic Tiger (6-1 M/L) was bet down to 9-2 in his debut at Calder. After a poor start he ran evenly in the slop. Give him another shot on the stretchout. In a race full of bad horses he hasn't proven he is that bad...yet.

Race 2: 10 - Jammin in the Sand (12-1) has two wins over the Tampa sand and has been working well. 12 - Toast to Monty (10-1) bled in his last at Suffolk. A fairly quick work and the turnback to 7f may be what the doctor ordered. Both horses have a big shot here if the chalk falters on the rail.

Race 3: 1-Powerful Pic (10-1) Last work signals his readiness....

Race 6: 8 - Freuglit (12-1) May have woke up in last. Lures Centeno.

That was a solid effort, Kev. $180 was a bit rich for my blood on opening day with all the shippers, but it would have bought a helluva lot of excitement, and then extreme DISAPPOINTMENT
