Default Bernardini......whew

Bernardini worked at Belmont today, a nice easy breeze in 1:02 and change. According to Tom Albetrani, a horse cut in front of him in his last work (I think - for some reason, I thought he meant it happened in today's work ) and the rider had to take up. Bernardini could have been seriously hurt ....and thank goodness he wasn't. I don't know how often this kind of thing happens, but I'd guess it's fairly common. We may not know how lucky we really our with our favorite racehorses; you assume a workout is going to be a pretty routine and it ends up like this.

Everytime I visit a racing board or site, I get nervous that something bad has happened to one of my favorites.......it's always great news when I don't see anything bad on here. I wish it didn't have to be that way...

Betsy,
One thing i know about horse racing is that anything can happen...
and sometimes it does.
Good that he dodged a bullet today.
To me, it's just one day at a time.
The snake waits...watch your step, cause once you're snakebit...
aww, nevermind.

Good that he's ok.
