Question baseball ?

http://espn.go.com/boston/mlb/story/...ankees-slugger

i know it's been a long-standing thing that you don't celebrate a home run, as the next time at bat, the pitcher you scored off might well ping you with the ball. there are other instances of 'payback' from pitchers. i remember reading about a guy who scored a huge home run, and ducked his head and ran his bases. some teammates asked why he didn't celebrate at all, he said i have to go back out there later. i don't want to get hit.
so, why all the fuss about a-fraud getting hit?

Default baseball?

NL pitchers are a little more reluctant to plunk guys, as they have to bat. AL pitchers doing it is really punk. In the old days, you could get him back by bunting down the 1st base line and "accidentally" bowling him over.
