Default Slots at the Big A

Does anyone have an update on the installation of the 4500 slot machines at the Big A? Is that part of the bidding process for NYRA or a separate issue?

If the 4500 slots are installed in January 2007 as previously rumored, what will that do to NY Bred MSW purses? 60,000 or 70,000?

Thanks...

I don't know, but if they throw slots in at the NYRA tracks, well, somebody ought to beat the Maryland General Assembly straight upside the head with a 2X4.

How long does it take to install these slots at A ? They just built a whole new harness track here in less than a year and have almost 1,000 slots. Tioga Downs in Nichols NY.

They'll put the slots in at Aqueduct ...

... as soon as they clean up the seven-inch-thick layer of pigeon droppings.

But, but....that's part of the ambience. They need to keep it.

There has been talk of slots at the Big A for better than half a decade, and as usual, politics and red tape has taken over. Can't get anything done under those circumstances.
