Default Strategic Mission to Gainesway

We knew this was coming. A sire in NY has a big offspring and away they go to Ky. Best of luck to Strategic Mission. He's a Mr Propector that has great turf credential.

As in Showing Up.

The Becks (Gainesway) already owned him. They didn't buy him to stand there. He was already there a few years ago when his fee was around $7500. It dropped to $3500 and probably will jump up to $10,000-15,000 for next year.

We considered a mating with him here in NY. In the end we didn't want to inbreed so close up to his sire Mr Prospector. My take is that he will fill the Chester House void in Ky, a Mr Propsector turf sire. I like him as a sire and NY grew fond of him in that he bred over 90 mares here last year.

Excellent analysis. I think you are correct about the void he is filling.
