Default NFL Weekend Playoffs Thread

Being from Charlotte, got to be pumped about the game this weekend. An extra weekend to get some bodies healthy and plan along with a 10 point favorite spread, that's what scares me. I hope they can do it and they should win, but I just don't know. Their only real bad game was Tampa where they didn't show up.

If they do get this win I say they will win next week and go to the SB.

Looking forward to some great games this weekend. In the other games I like Baltimore, San Diego, and Philly for upsets.

Charlotte vs. Philly will make for some great trash talking on this site!

But first, there's some games this weekend. Can't wait!!

The Panthers should roll this weekend, but reguardless who you play next weekend (hopefully it's the G-Men at the swamp) it's a step up in class.
Good Luck and hopefully we will have a chat before the NFC Championship game. Otherwise Declan and Anti will be knocking on your door.

Carolina to win big.
Giants win a close one.
Baltimore to win outright.
Pittsburgh to win and probably cover.

The Car/Ari game will hover around the spread(10-14 pts) and a late back door cover by Ari makes it somewhat interesting. The ole eastern time zone thing actually carries some weight for this Ari team. Even with Boldin listed as questionable, I think you could throw KGB and a pair of stilts back there and still throw for 250. This one comes down to time of possession and who can give their defense more of a breather...Car 27 Ari 20

Baltimore and Tennessee engage in a bruising running contest. Collins shouldnt even LOOK to throw the ball to Ed Reed's side. Cortland Finnegan makes the game ending interception. Flacco will be back though, this kid has ALL of the intangibles. (sorry dad, he has a Vegas SB pick (55-1) on Bal)...Ten 20 Bal 13

With Plexico watching from home, no wideout of the NYG demands the double team. This allows B Dawk to fly around and Q Mikell to roam into the box more often which in turn will stuff the box and cut down on how many times Jacobs and co. get to the second level. It also allows Jim Johnson to dial up some of his crazy blitz schemes forcing turnovers, turnovers, and even more turnovers. Look out for deflected passes at the line of scrimmage. Find me a defense playing better right now and I'll call you an @$$clown. Typical division matchup. I will be able to breathe once Don starts to kneel on it. No Pisarcik...Phi 23 NYG 16 (At least I hope so)

I'm not sure the defection of LT will matter too much in this one. Sproles should be stretched from hash to hash. He shoots out of a cannon and with his size, Pitt will need a GPS to locate him. Polamolu (sp?) is overly aggressive and can envision him taking a bad angle or two. The Chargers are playing great ball right now and are confident enough that they can beat whoever lines up against them. Their last 5 games suggest that is the truth. Roethlisburger will either hold the ball too long or make his patented ill advised throw. The terrible towels are stomped on once more for good measure...SD 24 Pitt 20

God I love playoff football!

Tennessee 20
balt 3

Tennessee has the best defensive line in the last 10 years and its deep so they can keep rotating. They will manhandle that raven offensive line. On the other side, Mawae being out will hurt running game but I think Collins will make the throws he has made all year long. The week's rest will be huge. Playoff experience at QB and coach will be huge. Point difference will be huge. Give me the titans.

Carolina 31
Zona 13

Zona didnt seem to like coming east this year and Carolina didnt seem to like losing at home. Zona is soft and carolina looks to be on quite a roll. Zona's only hope is big passing plays that Carolina seemed susceptible to.

I hate to jump on chalk but the Titan game just seems too good to be true.

Flacco throws the deep ball as accurately as anyone I have seen in a while.

I didn't see a choke, thought it was a great game. Tennessee lost their center, their RB, and had 3 turnovers. They still made a game of it.

3 turnovers in the red zone, 2 missed snaps inside the 40, 12 penalties and a missed fg.

That isnt choking?

fumbling not one but two times in the red zone is a choke.

I was rooting for the Ravens, but I must agree that was a choke. The non-call on the delay of game was also huge & it sure looked like Flacco stepped out of the end zone for a safety...I'd like to see the replay on that. All that said, Go Ravens.

Fair enough, but the Ravens hit like Tyson in his prime.
