Russell Baze subbed for Chad Schvaneveldt in the finale?

I was struggling with my betting all day at Pleasanton, but staying close.

The Lonestar concert was about to start before the final race and I had an "ah, what the hell" moment and pulled some major lettuce to put on the chalk Jeff Bonde horse ridden by Frank Alvarado.


When the Lonestar concert was over I checked my iPhone and learned I had become a winner on the day.

Chad Schvaneveldt's horse was the one who scared me a bit before the race.


I just checked calracing.com for the replay and see that Russell Baze got off the bench and out of the showers to ride the 11th in place of Chad.

Anyone know why?
