Well, I bet over $220 on that horse and if you think Mike Smith wrapped up on that horse you did not watch the race carefully.

Tough beat, but with 5 lengths at the sixteenth pole yer supposed to win.

He may not have been 'wrapped up,' but he was on cruise control for several strides... smith started hitting his horse again when it was too late.

I guess I tired of blaming riders every time I lose a bet.

Zippy I hear what you're saying, and I think there's truth to what you posted, but I don't believe Smith ( who I have always thought was an atrocious rider ) cost the horse the race. He never stopped riding and I just don't think anything he did caused the horse to slow down. The sad truth, at least for me, is that he got beat after looking home free.

I guarantee there will be tougher beats.

I'm not trying to place blame.. or take away a good win by the other horse. Really, I could understand Smith must of thought he was home free.. can't blame him for that.. I thought he was too.
