I've watched the first season. Have the 2nd on DVR for the winter.

I like it but it's a little too junior college artsy at times.

Both solid.
A good movie I watched again recently is Take Shelter. Strong ending.
Great movie actually.

Just binged on Horace and Petes. Very dark not what you expect from Louie CK. Some fantastic actors and acting. Alan Alda is phenomenal. I highly recommend it. Touches on a lot of social issues that get you thinking.

I agree, although the ending was a slight let down. But still a very good film, and contains one of the very best performances of the year in my opinion, Michael Shannon was brilliant in this picture.

Whats Shannon not brillant in? Midnight Special, Take Shelter, Frank and Lola hes amazing in all of them. I thought it was a career making performance from Aaron Taylor Johnson who is married to a woman like 30yrs older then him.
I thought you could look at the ending one of 2 ways. What's your take on it?

ATJ was very good as well i concur. In terms of the ending, i just felt they built up the tension so much i wanted to see him show up to there and meet her, no matter what happened as a result, you know? My wife felt the same way. But still a very good film. Back to Shannon, of the films you mentioned i have only seen so far Take Shelter which was excellent as was his work. I thought he was very good on Boardwalk Empire.

I think you can look at the ending 1 of 2 ways. First being he killed himself, that's why he never showed. I don't like that idea.... and don't think you should look at it that way.
2nd he made it. He is laughing at her. He wrote something great. She doubted he had it in him. She cheated and aborted his baby. She was horrible to him. He did something great, powerful and no longer needs her. He is over her and done. He stood her up because he no longer cares. I like that.

Watched some Black Mirror yesterday. Season 1 episode one is the most bizarre TV show I have ever seen. Looking forward to the rest.

Black Mirror is So Good... Wife thinks due to acting Horace and Pete's right up there with all time best's. Give it a shot. Alan Alda simply incredible.

Did it show how depraved the British royalty is?

You know the answer to that one.

Depravity equals longevity. Just look at Prince Scrooge Christmas morning.

Why Him is pretty stupid funny.
Anyone see Spring Breakers? Franco deserves an award for his portrayal of Alien.

Yes, he was very good much better than the film was in my opinion. It came out in 2012 so it is late for awards, but it was very good work.
