I wonder if Mike is rooting for them from the slammer.

Normally I don't get too fired up over fantasy football, because (a) i don't care about it because I hate rooting for players and (b) i usually suck anyways, but somehow i found a way into the finals in my league at work (fairly significant $$$ for winning it.) Had a huge lead going in to this game, with me having the Carolina defense and he having DeAngelo Williams. You know how this ends.

Now I remember why I hate fantasy football

No doubt they are very good, but can Matt Ryan hold under pressure? So far he's shown he can. It's a matter of road/home advantage which may make a big difference for a young player like him

I'm going to retire from fantasy football after this year for the same reason. That is after next week when Brees throws for 450.

I still think it's Carolina... but that's not saying much. They'd rank 5th-6th in the AFC behind Tenn, Indy, Pitt, maybe NE & Miami, and probably Baltimore. However, in a one game situation, I think they have a good chance of winning, the way they play.

I wanted to root for Carolina tonight because I hate the Giants. But I had to root for the Giants to stop DAW. Now I can go back to rooting for the Panthers.

Well since Carolina can't close the deal against a Giants team that didn't come ready to play tonight...
