Not really worth selling in my opinion.

Put it on Ebay to see how much it would get, put a large top on it, like 8k or something, I bet you could get 1k for it

Maybe if the auction closed after they ran the Derby.

They have exchange markets - where he will probably trade at around 35/1 or 40/1 on Derby day.

You could bet $100 against him which will result in about a $4K liability.

That way, if you aren't crazy about his chances anymore, you could recoup your initial investment and still make a 12K profit if he somehow wins.

It would be more of the curious side of me seeing what people would pay for something like that.

Believe you me, this horse is a contender. This horse ran very well in the FL Derby and is probably sitting on a huge performance. Is it good enough to win? Who Knows? One thing is for sure to me is that he is going to run very well in the Derby.

What does this mean exactly? Didn't Afleet Alex lose the Kentucky Derby as the favorite?

I think Bellamy Road was the favorite that year...

However, Smooth Air is as much Afleet Alex as Freddy Mitchell was Randy Moss.

Smooth Air is reminiscent of about a billion other local Florida horses that deflated when they lost home court advantage in the classics. Hey Byrn is in the same boat.

See Suave Prospect, Built For Pleasure, Notebook, Pistols And Roses, Certain, Hal's Hope, Bull In The Heather, Technology, Mecke, Ride The Rails, Booklet, Meadow Flight, Trust N Luck, and Frisk Me Now for further details.

The rich Lone Star Derby would be the logical next spot.

bellamy road was the favorite. AA was a fast closing and close third. a little less traffic and AA wins.
AA was the best conditioned and hardest working horse that year. i think smooth air could be the same this year.

[b][i]This crop should be compared to past harness horses NOT to anyone in the past. COURT VISION with AFLEET ALEX? Not in record, talent or ability to eat hay.

and if they like COURT VISION that much they might as well use ANAK NAKAL who was right behind him in the Wood and has won a Graded race at CD.

I can't think of a single legitimate reason why anyone would consider this colt to be a contender to win the race.
He's a nice animal with a smart trainer, and he certainly gives an honest effort, but the day this colt wins a 10f, G1 race is the same day merasmag wins a pulitzer.
