She has been known to break away, usually the week before her race. I guess we'll have to wait to hear from Chuck or Steve.

Yikes! Had me worried at first glance, but that doesn't look like her head and she doesn't have a RH white sock.

I am dying to know if she got there safely, however - Chuck? Steve?

They must have all stopped at Siro's for a drink! I hope she gets in with that fake ID.

The New York crowd had better not keep her up late at night, she's got a race to win in just under 2 weeks

I may end up sleeping in the stall with her if things don't pan out with the hotel. (I kid. )

You don't have to worry about me...I'm lucky if I can stay awake past 11:30.

At this point, because I have such a weird schedule at work for August (lots of time off interspersed with days on at the wrong times) - I may just drive up and back a couple of times ... can you do van/tent camping? Maybe Steve would let us camp in his backyard, with shower privileges?

Lake Luzerne and Moreau State Park are both decent campgrounds within half an hour.

Luzerne:

Moreau:

Thanks for the campground info. That's my last resort - I have a friend in Albany, I can stay at his house, that's my "fallback" when I get into town on the spur of the moment, and can't find a hotel room within 10 miles

It's all the posters on this websites fault ... you guys have made Saratoga sound like so much FUN, just have to see it for myself

Microtel in Latham NY always has rooms available for $90- $100.
It's about a 20 - 30 minute drive (north) to Saratoga.Has internet access,clean rooms and good food in the area. Phone # is 518-782-9161,if you're interested. I'm a AAA member,and it costs me $90 a night.
Hope this helps.

Riot,

I usually stay in Albany by the airport. Only 25 mins to the track. And it's an easy drive. Stay at Courtyard, or Homewood suites or Hilton Garden Inn.

Will be there this weekend with my son.
