Slow the f****** track down. How many people have to get injured before they realize this is too fast. With very little time for these minor countries to get acclimated they are setting themselves up for more of this. No one cares if they go 70 or 90 mph at the bottom. This death was senseless

OMG, just saw the video on another site. That was one of the worst things I have ever seen.

You would really think those poles would be padded, not that it may have mattered going that fast. I pray this dude felt nothing.

just saw the replay. that was tough. they need to slow that track down. it's way to fast. there was 2 crashes earlier but farther away from the finishline.
i watched several sledding trials in the last month and not watched anything that fast.

If someone leaves that track, they should hit netting or padding (like high jumpers or pole vaulters), not steel. RIP |

Wow, very sad. No way can I watch the video or would I want to. I accidentally saw one photo... that was bad enough. Just awful, poor guy. |

NBC opened the broadcast by showing it 3 times. Just ridiculous and classless.

I want Doc ICU to weigh in ... I doubt this poor man had a chance in hell, but the first thing I noticed - in the picture of the poor guy laying there obviously dead - is that all they have is a lousy ambu bag on room air and oropharyngeal airway. I can't tell if the blood is from his ear, mouth, nose.
The Olympics, and nobody has a freaking' laryngoscope and ET tube to provide an airway? Are emergency crews prevented from intubating in the face of a possible neck fracture? A. B. C.
