"I can think of about 20 horses that I feel fairly comfortable in saying they have no shot to win." (GPK said this)

So, Kev, are ya betting on Chalsie Whats-Her-Name on the pony horse? Cuz I'm right there with ya!!! I just hope Chalsie can hang on for 10 panels.

Anyway, I'm tossing a bunch of horses. Right off the top of my head....Cool Coal Man, Recapturetheglory, Cowboy Cal, Monba, both fillies, BehindattheBar, both Z horses. For some reason, I also cannot toss Anak Nakal. I can almost toss Colonel John,,,but not quite. Denis of Cork was my early pick,,then I just about gave up on him. But now(if he even gets in the gate)I'm back on him. But, really, at this point in time, I don't even care who wins. I'm looking forward to having a good time!

Unfortunately, the answer is NO...

"NOTE: Trifecta and Superfecta wagering on all races that qualify under Kentucky statutes. Daily Double, Pick-3, Pick-4 and Super High-5 wagers are $1 minimum straight bets. On Oaks Day and Derby Day the Superfecta is a $1.00 minimum wager. The Pick-6 is a $2 minimum wager all days. Also, Over/Under wagering will be offered on all races that qualify. Super High-5 wagering will be offered on selected races."

Here's the wagering menu for Oaks/Derby days:

just wanted to add you could have had the super high five from the bottom up with prior race synthetics
16-bob black jack
17-gayego
18-big truck
19-adriano
20-monba

do they have that bet yet?

I'm not past posting here (you can check my other posts) but I'm not sure how or why most people seemed to toss out Recapturetheglory, or pick that how last in the "first and last" pool.

Here me out:

The horse figured to be sitting top 3 or 4 throughout. Lets say I would be off, with the horse sitting second. (I know the Illinois Derby was a merry go round, but the horse did come home in 35.2, with a 102 beyer) Did people really think that of the 16-18 horses sitting behind him that every single one would pass him? 3/4 probably wouldn't fire (just like in most of the preps).

So you'd be left with about a seven horse race turning for home, one being Recapturetheglory.

Let's say the horse is on the improve, feeling good. No traffic, straggly closers. I honestly thought this horse could hit the board. At least more of a chance than the other inconsistent closers, and some consistent ones that never tried dirt.

I never thought the horse could win, but dead last and a throwout seemed ridiculous.

Respectable race and edged out of the super.

I was completely wrong on him. Would have taken even money that he'd been in the bottom five and would have needed 600-1 to bet he'd be in the top five.
