Default Ojo de Agua's Debut!

And yesterday he ran for the first time for me and my trainer!!

He finished 4th place (field of 9) as the 7th choice in the field. But he is not 100% fit yet.... we think he has something to improve.

Previously he had one 5th place and two 9th places.

Here is the link for the race replay:

http://www.jockeysp.com.br/resultado...=JC02904092006

Click on "Veja o Replay" (See the replay) on race number 7 (Páreo: 007). He is the horse number 5, which ran all the race on 3rd place, and took the lead for a moment entering the stretch...but he tired in the last 3 or 4 furlongs.

The complete result of race 7, can be seen on this link, again "Páreo 07":

http://www.jockeysp.com.br/resultado...?data=9/4/2006

Then click on "Clique Aqui" (Click here), below words "Hipódromo: C.JARDIM - Reunião: 029"

Any comments are welcome! :-)

Not a bad debut for you. How was your heart when you saw your horse take the lead?

I think it was faster than the horse's heart! :-)

It is very exciting to see your horse running!...Unfortunately he didn't hold the lead for too much time, but that was not a bad debut indeed!

There is nothing like seeing your horse take the lead. Man oh man, it is a wonderful feeling. Good luck in the next start and keep us informed.

Seems like he just wasn't 100%, but a nice run! Very nice run.

Congrats on the nice race!

Congrats on the nice race!

Thank you!

Actually, the trainer told me he is like 70% fit....he came very poorly from the other owner and is improving...

He also was coming from a 2 months layoff...

Let,s see his next race...maybe semptember 23rd.

He'd get a nice sheet number in the states with your jock taking the "overland" route the whole way around. Good luck with him.

I thought the jock had him pretty wide the entire way and moved him out early in the stretch. He did look short. It was a good effort is what I was saying considering he was short and wide.

Default Awesome

nice real nice

like Randall said.. he stayed out in no man's kand. Did you notice where the winner came from. It seems like he stayed on the rail. I could barely make out the video but he looks like a nice looking horse from what I could see.

I am excited for you

Thank you all for the support!

He came out very well from the race...in perfect condition...and he is, actually, a very good looking colt...he has nearly 500 kg.

The trainer told me he needed this race to get fit...his next race will be better we expect. We are planning to race him on September 25th...

He placed fourth, so his next race will be with stronger colts, but we are confident...let´s see what happens.

See you!

ps: this track you´ve seen the replay is São Paulo´s Race Track (called Cidade Jardim)...its where horses like Leroidesanimaux, Siphon, Joe Who, started racing...only to mention some USA G1 winners...its the most important brazilian race track, together with Gavea at Rio de Janeiro State.

I agree with the others, looked wide and the jock moved him too early, and if he was short that was a very good run. Good Luck and let us know when he's running again..
