The Morton computer model has the rath of nature smiting my humble abode. Louisiana is spared according to the Mortunsus linear degredation cycling anamoly. The rest of the models appear to disagree with this advanced system. Last edited by pgardn : 05-09-2009 at 09:45 AM.

Looks like I am going to have to evacuate here by tomorrow morning
 It's going to be a monster from the looks of it! Took months to recover from Hurricane Rita 3 years ago..Everyone is just now getting back to "normal", and here comes another one

Gustav has strengthened even sooner then expected. It is already a category 3. By the time it hits the gulf where the water temps are in the upper 80's it may strengthen even more. I hope everyone is prepared this time.

No excuses this time about being poor, elderly or disabled.....the state, fed and local are doing their job this time all over the gulf coast..I think, I know for sure Louisiana and Mississippi. Hope it's the same in Texas as it is here We'll know in about 24 more hours where it should hit, wherever it is it will be bad. We're staying put, generators ready, lots of fuel and food, worried about the tornados though. Once again good luck to all in the gulf wherever you end up...and keep you eye on Hanna, that's following the Katrina/Rita path, back to back hurricanes possible. Oh and Coach I think that will be 7+ for gas.....

Well, it has moved more eastward since 6 this morrning...Good thing for me..Bad for the cajuns..As of now I am just going to "sit tight" and make a descion tomorrow.. I hate this "back and forth" crap..Very frustrating to say the least.
Best of luck to anyone close to this thing..It really does look like she's going to kick some a$$.... Thanks for the luck Beth..Back at ya girl

Seems I do that alot huh?
I think right now I am not in any danger..but will know more in the next 24..As of now I am staying and riding it out. The traffic is a mess anyhow and I sure don't want to go sit in that!
