big, I thought there was something wrong with the site, leading to many eliminations. I e-mailed the administrator of the contest, and he got back to me with this:
"We have an established user base of 3000 plus players many of which play the harness horses and did not make picks in this contest for the quarterhorses and therefore were eliminated from the contest." Seems a little strange that their "established user base" was "signed up" for the contest automatically; maybe they just wanted to overstate the participation in it.
