Default Did anyone get over on Applebees or Golden Corral today?

They had some Vets eat free nonsense today.

I got the idea of trying to get over on the both of them this morning. I noticed my lame beyond belief older brother changed his facebook profile pic to this ...

I was like yeah - I should be able to pass as a slimmed down version of him if the tiny ears and high hairline don't give me away.

Needless to say, I made a mockery of his "service" again. He's all proud like he was one of the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae or something ... and all he did was air traffic control airplanes coming back from missions where they bombed the living hell out of defenseless forces. Considering he was one of those guys ... I'm shocked a lot of our war planes didn't crash into each other into mid-air.

Anyway, if any of my fellow Non-Vets used trickery to get a free meal out of Applebees or Golden Corral - or whereever they gave stuff away to vets today - I salute you!

Never eaten at a Golden Corral, but all I know is, there are few places worse than Crapplebees. Chilis is worse, TGIF is worse.

I have to drive by a Golden Corral everyday -- they ship in people by the busloads and are busy no matter what the hour.

I think it would take a seriously large sum of money to get me to eat there.

The fresh rolls at Golden Corral are great. That's about it for me. Oh yeah, and the ice cream machine. There's one in Frederick, MD that's clean and not yucky. Last time I went was about 6 years ago. Plus, I was always one of the skinner people in the place.

I really love their stufffed cabbage, but only because I hate captivity so I free the hamburger from the their gluttonous blankets and take them home so they can run freely in my garden.

I'll never be able to look at a stuffed cabbage the same way again... I never considered the confinement... the insufferable conditions... steamed within an envelope of cabbagey torment... My grandmother was a sadist and I never realized it...

Thank you for opening my eyes...

And I am further behooved by your latest fabatar...
