Default Master of Hounds in KY Derby? (Yes!)

anyone have any news over there in the magical lands of Ireland about this one coming over?

What about the Arabs? Surely they must be mulling someone to have over, after this weekend, at least think about Arthurs Tale

Highly doubtful to send anyone from Dubai, but US-based Arthur's Tale would seem their most likely choice. Master Of Hounds surely looks better after this weekend and ran a crackup race in the UAE Derby, he is possible from what I've read overseas and been told.

yeah you would think even without a real top class 3 year old like they have had in years past, they can take advantage of this suspect crop of 3 yr olds with someone like Master. I also would hope they would employ an American rider for him and if not at least try to Frankie on him if Godolphin will let him.

Master Of Hounds is with Aidan O'Brien, not Godolphin, so they'll probably get one of their guys to ride, anything else would be shocking.

Didn't they use American jockeys the last time they took a shot at the Kentucky Derby (2002 with Johannesburg and Castle Gandolfo)?

The 2000 Guineas is the same day.

O'Brien said MOH is a KY Derby horse(he is also nominated to the TC)but the owners will decide between that and the Guineas

Arthur's Tale on the other hand was suppose to do the Wood-Peter Pan-Belmont route, but now are looking at the Derby. The only problem is with $200,000 in earnings he prolly won't get in since the Arkansas Derby will get 2 or 3 in and the Bluegrass will get Santiva and whoever wins in

yeah but gone are the days of Gary Stevens and Jerry Bailey.

Since JR is taken, they will usually go with Prado or Gomez. God forbid Jamie Spencer is used

There's a better chance Cordero will come out of retirement and ride the horse (if he comes) than Dettori.

In 2005. According to an article I just read it was only the 2nd time he had ever ridden for him.

after this weekend, they should surely consider sending him to Churchill. There are no Frankel's on this side of the pond

Also for Sheik Mo and the boys, its a shame they dont have a runner in the most wide open Derby in years.
