Ummm..... were you talking about the 6 day ban Frankie got for htting Red Rocks (cause this link is to something else).....

From Racing post.....

Dettori to miss Eclipse
FRANKIE DETTORI'S Royal Ascot went from better to worse on Friday when he collected a six-day riding ban that will rule him out of summer highlight, the Coral-Eclipse Stakes.
The Godolphin stable jockey was stood down July 5 to July 10 inclusive for breaching the whip instructions on Red Rocks who finished a neck second in the King Edward VII Stakes.
Earlier Dettori finally made it onto the Royal Meeting score sheet when partnering his first winner of the week on Sander Camillo in the Albany
Stakes, but in the following race was found guilty of using his whip with excessive frequency and without giving his mount time to respond.
The day before he had collected two days for careless riding [July 3 and 4] on Guadalajara in the Ascot Gold Cup and unless he mounts an appeal he is ruled out of the Sandown showpiece, in which Godolphin have engaged Electrocutionist, Lateen Sails, Proclamation and Shawanda. Ouija Board, who Dettori has also ridden, is engaged as well.
Stipendiary steward William Nunneley said: "Dettori hit Red Rocks 19 times in the final furlong and a half, nine with his left hand and ten with his right. Ten of the blows were in very quick succession."

he hit the horse 19 times in the last furlong and a half. Fully deserved the ban. Dettori is one of the worst whip offenders!

With all due respect, maybe Detorri should come to the states so that Guidry can teach him something...
Oracle's words from a few days ago regarding Perfect Drift...

Buffy, I just watched the replay ok? I WATCHED it and counted the number of times he hit perfect Drift in the stretch, he hit him 20 TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now wheer you get the idea that he eased him up is beyond me. And furthermore he whipped him every stride from the time he made the lead to the wire and was whipping him like crazy all teh way to the end.
Now, you are just wrong, wrong to say he eased up on him. I will give you the link to watch the replay or anyone else and you can all count the number of times he hit him, 20. 20 times. If thats eased up then I'd hate to see a furious drive.
he just hung, plain and simple. Like i said, I will give you the link and you can have anyone watch it and if he hit him less than 20 times I will never post here again. I just counted 3 times, its at least 20 times that he hit the horse. He did not ease up on him and I'm wondering if you even saw the race.

Brits are harder on their jocks...here, the jocks are harder on the horses.

Im assuming he didnt get a ban fot it? In fairness Dettori was way too hard on the horse, was never gonna win the race, fully deserved th ban. way too forceful

No ban...just tried hard.
Different race, different circumstances.
Thanks for your opinion.

owner tells jockey, "if he's got nothing in the stretch, don't whip him."
jock tells owner "do you want to win?"
Jock and owner's names withheld but a true story at Arl circa late 1970's
Owner is dead but jock still rides!!!!
La Franco God Bless
In Nascar they call it bumpin
show me a horse Franco caused anymore harm than a few welts..........
IMO he's the absolute best.......in the world.......but if I was Maktoum and had $10 million a day income coming in he'd be my jock as well.
who else GO GO Gomez LOL??

I will say this-
Dettori is the only Jock that has gotten anything out of Wilko.

It's not like Nakatani ever did anything good for that horse.
