I thought this would have come back in the high 80's. The variant remained constant for the dirt races all day and the track was playing as fair as you'll find. Catalina Red set a stake record (1:09:32) for the 6F and did so easily. Had the appearance that he can run all day, though may be best suited for a mile at this point.

If Brown thinks he can route, I'd say no - he'll stay in South FL only because the Sam Davis is no longer advantageous. Sadly, last year's edition of the Sam Davis was an embarrassment.

Nice piece in DRF about him and the race - looks like they are pointing toward a quick turn around and eyeing the 7F Pasco Stakes here on December 27th:

Great interview, Steve. I admittedly didn't know much about Chad, very enlightening. Will be interesting to see how CR develops from here.
