never.

but when chicago racing is dark, i tend to be LESS interested in the day to day happenings....just follow the bigger stories and horses from my stable mail, and see if anyone 80-1 shots won at Fairgrounds and Gulfstream.

Not having Chicago racing makes me give a lot less of a ****.

I love racing all the time. I dont think I have ever gone through a spell where I didnt care. To me, there is much more to racing than what goes on at the track. I love the politics, what tracks try to do, the bickering between jocks, trainers, owners and tracks, I am beginning to love the breeding side. To me, there is always something to be excited about when it comes to this great sport.

Last Nov/early Dec I lost 14 straight days. Horses hanging beating me out of p-3s and p-4s, prime overlays stumbling out of the gate and, most of all, a period of very poor handicapping.

I watch replays every early morning for 2 hours. One day I woke up and decided that I didn't have it in me to do.

Gave it a full week of total vacation from any racing. Got back to it and my mid/late Dec went well. But for a week, the last thing I cared about was seeing anything running in circles.

Yep, I'm in one of those "I don't ****ing care" moods right now, myself. I'm sure that will change by the time the Sunshine Millions rolls around.

I hope you all have fun at Gulfstream during the Sunshine Millions, and maybe you'll get back into caring then

Haha... I don't think the drinking part is going to be a problem! Speaking of... I found a nice rolling cooler in my garage. I forgot we had one. I'm bringing it along.

I would say take a couple weeks off and come back to wagering when you have a better attitude.

For me, it was the holidays. I always get so depressed in December and January.

You know they turn horses out on farms when they go a little sour and really don't seem into racingThey usually come back fresh..A little break is always a good thing Moodwalker.

I have to take breaks from it. It sems like there are stretches when I can't do anything wrong and even longer ones where I can't do anything right
well 2 of 3 and so on

I get annoyed with people

yes ,basically the entire fall meet of 05 here in chicago. that was the time i got my horse back from that ahole piece of shiat mutha f'n c sucker that abused and mistreated him. my horse was basically sore all over almost crippled and came back 2-300 lbs underweight. i drove almost 2 hrs in each direction every weekend to see him at the farm he stayed at and id go to the track only to the barn to see my trainers horses. i was asbsolutely sour on racing and disgusted with it as a business in general

I need a little clarification. Are you saying that someone abused your horse
or
the horse you got had been abused prior to you getting him ?

I would have a serious problem containing my rage long enough to aim properly.

btw.. who is your trainer?
