afleet alex hernia
i was reading where aa is recovering from surgery for this. are hernia's common in horses? how would one get one?

Many foal are born with hernias. It is nothing more than a hole in the abdomen wall/muscle. Most times they will heal themselves without any surgery. Sometimes they need some help like manipulation from the outside to push anything (intestines etc.) sticking out of the hole back inside. really not anything to worry about.

Now, a got something in common with a champion! Had the same surgery as Alex, two & half year's ago.
