Teuflesberg Surgery Successful; Prognosis Good by Claire Novak Date Posted: October 11, 2007 Last Updated: October 11, 2007 Grade II winner Teuflesberg, who fractured both sesamoid bones in his left front leg in the Oct. 6 Phoenix Stakes (gr. III) at Keeneland, underwent a successful surgery Oct. 11 at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington and is on the way to what co-owner Donnie Kelly hopes will be a full recovery. Teuflesberg has left Rood and Riddle and is back at his stall at Victory Haven Training Center. His recuperation is going exceptionally well and he has his old glint back in his eyes....of course being completely spoiled by his "family" there helps out quite a bit. While he's not completely out of the woods he is doing very well.
