Communicator is the #4 in the 7th. Wouldn't want you to screw up your tickets.

Good luck Gus.
I haven’t previously been a fan but Moretti interests me a little today. Off the long layoff and with Bodexpress breaking the track record in his last, he didn’t stand a chance. I like the blinkers coming off and trust Pletcher to have him ready to run today. With Communicator and Patagonia getting a lot of the attention, I could see him being a decent price. The longshot that is intriguing to me is Mathematician. He has run OK in losing efforts on turf but switches to dirt and now under Asmussen. His only dirt try was as a two year old in December 2017 where he tired and finished 5th, losing to this year’s Woodford winner, Marconi. Since then, he’s been running nothing but turf routes, so he should in theory handle the distance...big question is whether he’ll like the dirt but Asmussen taking over gives me some hope. Probably too much to ask...but I definitely will have him included in some bets. Maybe I’m looking too hard but it is hard for me to back a 2-5 ML horse who has never faced winners, is handling two turns for the first time,, gets a jockey switch, and has put in mostly middling works since the big win, even if he did wow in his maiden win and is a 1/2 to Accelerate. Anyway, good luck! |

Why toss him? Include him but hope to beat him.

The first few legs were looking pretty chalk so i figured the payout would be pretty low with Communicator in there.
But I’m starting to think it was a terrible idea to toss Jose Lezcano as he’s a nose away from being 5 for 5. |

Tough beat if anyone played the Lezcano early pick 5.

Thanks, Moses. I tried to get cute in the PK5 with the All button and left some on the table. The PK5 paid handsomely.
