Barn fire near Charles Town kills 41 horses
this is just so sad...nothing scares me more than a fire in the barn.

That's terrible. It makes me sick to hear about barn fires. Were they all lost or did they manage to get anybody out? I know the standard problem where horses instinctively don't want to leave the barn, but I was hoping for some small break in the tragedy.

Very upsetting news. This is so sad. I was just there yesterday. It was a beautiful day there yesterday and now this. This one will take me a while to get past. It seems that it's always something.

I would say something involving a lot of sorrow for these horsesys...but it would be taken in a bad way by many of you degenerate gamblers....so I will leave it at that.

Sounds like they got abt 20 out. Paulick report says they were set loose on the training track. Revised number is 28 dead, w more being treated for smoke inhalation.
As for rampillion, darren who trains her? The three names I've seen are ronnie brown, steve spears, and freddie johnson...though there are probably more trainers than just those 3. CT has set up a fund to help the guys who lost everything: Charles Town Horseman's Benevolent Horseman's AssociationPO BOX 581Charles Town, WV 25414make check to CTHBPA and attach note for horseman affect by fire.

If we deny our happiness, resist our satisfaction, we lessen the importance of their deprivation. We must risk delight. We can do without pleasure, but not delight. Not enjoyment. We must have the stubbornness to accept our gladness in the ruthless furnace of this world. To make injustice the only measure of our attention is to praise the Devil." And now.. ..you may drop dead. |

I know your relatively new here but you really don't want to go down this road. Morty used to take the lunch money each AM from Mr Lechter when both were in first grade together. No one wants to see what happens when Morty as an adult invites you to lunch. Sometimes humor is just that until someone is insulted and carnage ensues.
