You are blind, and can't identify a good closer. Biz was running out of gas.

Let's see. According to the charts, at the 8th pole, Sightseeing was third. He was 1/2 length and a head back of the leader. At the wire, he was second, 1/2 length back. So according to the charts, he was flying so fast at Nobiz that he made up a whole head difference in 220 yards yet u say that in 50 more feet, he would have had him?

i was just going to post something similar. he closed well to finish where he did.. I thought in mid-stretch he was going to pass NoBiz.. but it was clear a few strides later that it wasn't going to happen.

it seems like most ppl have my opinion on this one....

for a second it looked like sightseeing could have gone by but then when nobiz kicked in it was over, he would have never ever passed him, and i think shug also knows that, could that be why he is saying he wont go to the derby ?

I have no clue why Shug wouldn't consider sending him now. Just as good as the others, maybe even better, knowing how to move through traffic. However, shug doesn't rush his horses, and he may be making a run for the Belmont.

The same one. I haven't read a single observation that says he would have passed him with another 50 feet.

i had that exacta, i put it the other way too just in case. believe me at the top of the stretch i was screaming for sightseeing. it would of been a great number. nobiz held well and had it measured no doubt. but it was basically a 3 horse race. if nobiz is rank a month from now(and i hope hes the big underlay) i think they do fly right by him at the end. big difference between 1 1/8 at aqueduct and 1 1/4 at churchill. if that horse doesn't learn this game and how to relax, well, his goose is already cooked .
