are they going via new york, and taking the islanders with them?

i thought it interesting that this team was going tits up, but was paying an exorbitant amount to their coach compared to other teams.... i guess they were hoping the great one would draw a crowd.
but their deal with the city and arena was awful...

where to in canada?

That's too bad if they do leave PHX. It's a beautiful arena and they really built a first class entertainment complex around it. Would be interested to see if they could draw fans now that they have a boatload of good young talent.

There will be no Islander bashing unless they somehow manage to screw up drafting John Tavares.

i was referring to the owners regret that he bought the team. from what i read in that article, he's contemplating a move.

Charles Wang would have to regret buying the team since he's losing money hand over fist. Part of it is his own fault by keeping Mike Milbury employed for so long and then hiring Garth Snow The main problem is the criminals in Nassau County Govt. are jerking Wang around with regard to building a new arena or at least overhauling the Coliseum. Can't really tell whether he's just saber rattling when he threatens to move the team or if he's serious.

True Dat'.......

One for Derek and Deb........I don't know if either of you two saw this but I was watching post game of # two and Alex was asked about how his goalie was playing and he seemed to get a touch annoyed deflecting the question like he was pissed at his rookie net minder....

I thought the kid had played well other than a soft goal in the first game which Alex had no problem discussing. Is there something going on between the savior and the new kid?

i saw that. he doesn't want to talk about varly at all-he's afraid to jinx him, no joke. the coach isn't talking to the goalie either. they don't want to mess with a good thing. from what little they've said, varlamov hasnt' really understood that he ought to be feeling pressure! his english is not good at all, i told my son maybe they haven't even let him know it's the playoffs.
alex is still a bit rough with his english-his i don't want to talk about it was pretty much what he said to another interviewer who asked him about his late brother.
