This was a very encouraging performance. If he runs this race again, he will win at this level.

Thanks Gary and Steve.

Very nice effort by the happy gelding today and he came back feeling good. Chavez said he felt strong under him and never stopped trying to reel in the leader. Changed leads late unfortunately and you could see the boost he got from it as he started to come back on the winner and the favorite in the final yards.

I have his splits as:

0:23.2 (:23.2)
0:47.0 (:23.3)
0:59.0
1:11.1 (:24.1)

WIRE PHOTO

Did anyone see him getting impatient pre-race during the delay? Stamped and pawwed with his right front a few times... "Let's go!" February 10, same race, the logical target.

The Dee Tee crew on hand got some up close action dodging the loose runner from by the top of stairs by Main Track edge... He was making a line right for us after busting out of the Inner.

Glad to see an improved run by Lloyd. Looking forward to AC / Jets doubleheader on Sunday.

Steve, Lloyd was very calm in the paddock pre-race. Unfortunately, we were on the track by the paddock when the 4 broke loose and the field was on the other side of the track where we did not have a good look at what was going on with the field waiting for the horse to be caught.

Pat is not kidding about the loose horse, we had to run for cover as he came charging through the temporary rail between the inner and the main and thankfully he decided to change course at the last second and run down the main before running around the track and then into the barn area. The good news is that we heard that he was caught in the barn area by someone and there were no apparant injuries to anyone.
