I am not a believer of Shared Belief being a KY Derby contender until this horse repeats his efforts on regular dirt.

He has a style that is more conducive to dirt than turf, normally I dont disagree about syn horses but in this case if he is not a derby contender I dont know what qualifies as such in December.

Shared Belief doesn't even need to be as good on dirt as he is on synthetics to win the Derby.

Long way to go still. I'll still take the top 2 from the Remsen ahead of Shared Belief.

I'd take Honor Code and Cairo Prince too. The Remsen proved nothing, but their previous starts are good.

The way I hear it, Honor Code might not even be the best 2yo in their barn.

Wanted to get a race in before going down to Fla, I would suppose.

I realize that field was nothing special, but he won it in eye popping fashion and should have no issues at all with distance.

Im basing it on surface that each horse has performed over, pedigree, trainers. The Remsen top 2, actually top 3 all have a lot going for them.

Recognize that McGaughey now has the barn at Fair Hill. As he said on ATR earlier in the fall, he'll utilize all the resources in its' proximity.
