Ah dunno about that Scav but it sure was fun. The guy who directed me had directed some NYPD Blue Episodes and also some Sapranos, Henry something.
It was alot of fun and to be honest Id give just about anything to be able to do it again.

Pat-

I think Game of thrones and Sopranos are two of the best shows ever. I watch Trueblood. Treme. Boardwalk empire.

And each one of those shows was much better after the first two episodes in my opinion. Believe me-i want to like this show. I really do. Its just not very good so far. The pacing is slow and the only character that is remotely interesting thus far is the Peruvian trainer.

Of course i will watch it because I love the sport and I can halfway follow what is going on but so far its mediocre at best.

Since we're talkng about TV I'll try to slip this in without getting smashed.

Smash. No not the Baffert horse. The new series on NBC. Did anybody watch it? What did you think?

It was must see TV for me cuz I'm such an addict for Broadway musicals.

Thought it was pretty good. Liked the character played by Megan Hilty. Have to admit I'm a bit biased though since I've seen her about 50,000 times as Glinda in Wicked.

Episode 2 featured some terrific studies of horses in motion and close up. And I also enjoyed the scene at the Longshot among many others.

I skimmed the thread and didn't see this mentioned. Sorry if it's redundant, but I just saw this: http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com/nat...ries-luck.aspx A couple horses had to be euthanized during filming at one point. Sad.

Wait for episode 4 in a 9 episode season? Why didn't they just make two movies for HBO instead?

And let me remind those who think getting a 2nd season with HBO somehow means the show is successful...this is the same channel that gave How to Make It In America a second season.

Now the fat guy on oxygen...can anyone hear the noise those oxygen tanks make with surround sound? I watched it on the laptop and didn't notice. It's just a pet peeve I have. Those tanks are annoying to hear and to sacrifice accuracy is as well. It's just a shi.itty god awful character.

And the punchy one that looks like Tim McManus...why didn't they kill him in episode 2? Why waste a significant crime that early in the season? I don't give a s.hit. Kill the guy. Kill him dead. Instead it was a cheesy as hell wgas moment.

Really don't like the show. Sucks. Sucks. Sucks.

I stayed with it all season, just hoping something was going to happen. I get an eerily similar feeling about this one.

I started DVR'ing Shameless when this started, but I'm thinking about going back to that on Sunday night, and recording this instead.

Here's a value add post...

I love how Nolte sounds exactly like a wet fart. It's phenomenal acting.
