little mares aren't necessarily the answer, the babies could do a lot of damage if they're big like their dad.

but yeah, namewise the sky's the limit.

Default SWLY rented boyfriend

What about EEN-VAH-SOR?

As a new stallion he may be relatively inexpensive and we could call the offspring Alguien te amo

Holy Ground, Barbaro's half brother is an A++ nick for Sumwon.

Normally, when you have a smaller mare, you want to breed to a larger stallion so that the foal might have some size. As for trying to correct a longer pastern... there are no guarantees regardless. JMO. I don't care for Rock Hard Ten as a whole, so he wouldn't be my first choice anyway.

Sumwon and RHT have an A nick.

as for rh10, definitely far from my first choice, VERY far.

Well, he isn't Rock Hard TEN for nothing!

I'd like to see her bred to a nice stallion by Saint Ballado. That nick is a good one IMO.

How about Straight Man? He's a nice looking stallion.

My only thought concerning that matchup is the distance she'd have to be shipped in order to be bred... he stands out in Cali.

Wow, that's interesting! I love the Turn To and Herbager in there (the old Claiborn).

Two questions: What are the St Ballado babies like temperment-wise, with the Halo in there?

Conformationally, Sumwon needs the most help with strong, straight front legs (she toes out) - what is that like, in that lines' foals?

This is fun - learning alot about pedigrees!

Riot, to be honest, I think that it depends on the dam of the stallion too. If you have a quiet mare and breed to an unruly and temperamental stallion, your chances are probably 50/50 that the resulting foal will be either quiet or temperamental. Using Jazil as an example... his sire, Seeking the Gold is a nasty SOB, but Jazil didn't inherit that demeanor. I would guess (and I'm only guessing because I have never personally been around Better Than Honour) that Jazil inherited a quieter personality from his dam.

In regards to conformation, some stallions with what I would consider poor conformation have sired perfect specimens in the conformation department. Sometimes I wonder if it's a total crapshoot.

Here is Holy Ground:

and here is Straight Man:

Barbaro must have inherited all the looks in the family.

Straight Man has "that head", doesn't he?

Both nice stallions, with their pluses and minuses. Too bad you can't "cut and paste" the two together to get exactly what you like It's always a compromise, hum?

If I look at him from a comfort standpoint, I see fault in that too. A shorter back means a stronger back, but it also means a rougher ride. LOL

I prefer horses with longer backs myself... my gelding was nicknamed 'The Flying Sofa' because his back was so long... he was awesome to ride though.
