Default ROI Results 5/25 @ Monmouth

Well the Garden State was not the garden spot for our New Jersey players but 4 out of staters
showed up and collected points to go along with their profits. Joly hit his trifecta and ecked out
a profit to take the super slot. Joly put Diva's Revenge on top and got a return of $105 to seal
his profitable day. Plenilune just edged him out to take the show with a win bet in the finale on
Shahkaar worth $110. Cal828 finishing second by hitting two exacta's, one for $66 and one
for $122 in races 9 and 11. Cal was the only player to cash multiple races. For the second
straight week Ruff swept both the points and ROI contests. In race 5 Ruffian played Prendimi
and was rewarded with a $54.40 payout for each $2 and it resulted in a $544 return and a no
doubt about it win. Congrats Ruff. Following are the unofficial results pending any objections.
See you all next week wherever Ruffian ships us. Now can I go get some extra zzzz's El?

RQ,I know just what you mean about those extra ZZZZ's, especially in the middle of the afternoon. I can be reading and suddenly find my eyes trying to close and my head trying to droop. Reminds me how some of my audience must have felt during some presentations I made pre-retirement, especially when I drew the first slot after the lunch break.

It doesn't make an iota of difference in the week's outcome - no one can catch Ruffian when she catches those $55 winners - but I did want to mention that in Race 12, there was a gate scratch of #1 Tuppence, whom I included in my trifecta efforts. That probably helped reduce the trifecta payoffs to some degree. I calculate that the scratch reduced the wager amount from $99 to $58, which would have increased the net return to $47.40. I know you keep annual records and just wanted to mention this.

Default MrrrrrrrrrrroW!

MrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroW!

I HAD “ROCK THE CAUSEWAY” ($57)- IN ANOTHER CONTEST

*** HAD IT LISTED FIRST ON MY ROI PAPER ***
{Used To Drive The CAUSEWAY Every Day In Miami}
Wonderful Wondrous Memories Of Happiness

THEN, FOR WHATEVER DUMB REASON ~
USED ANOTHER HORSE 🐎 INSTEAD

THE SOUND YOU HEARD AT THE R4 FINISH LINE
WAS A ‘RUFF FOOT KICKIN A RUFF BUTT ‘

One of the first things I learned about horse races
“Trust your initial instinct and never ever CHANGE YOUR MIND!”

How many times I have NOT listened to my Initial Instinct
And have paid the price between Victory + 2nd Place

Due to the fact that I missed a scratch in Joly's trifecta array there has been a change in the order of finish with Joly B elevated to 3rd and Plenilune flip flopping to 4th. The order is reflected in the original post. Sorry for the whiff.

A TANTALIZING TOUCH OF IRONY

Just 2 weeks ago my best friend, Tiger Dancer, gave me A New BROOM!
“The Better To SWEEP With” She Meowed

I’m beginning to wonder if she didn’t go to OZ,
And steal it from the Good Witch of the West
