Points and ROI Totals through November 16,2019
Starting the new handicapping season with a couple of carry over repeats as Cal828 grabs the ROI repeat and hits a nice 2nd in Pts whicl DonGuido starts off with a bang nabbing a repeat win in the Points Contest. JolyB starts with a nice place position in ROI and Real Quiet and Cruzan200246 pocket some points with minor honors. The start of a handicapping year leaves some to be desired on venues and entries as we saw this week at Del Mar and it's a slow grind to put an order to the players. But the bevy of Derby hopefuls will soon start to materialize. I always ask at the start the year if anyone can recruit new players and or talk the ones that show up now and then into playing on a regular basis. Not sure what's up with El Prado (hope she's OK). I have her email address, so I'll check on her. Thanks much to all the faithful and take care to all!!! Ruffian and JolyB knocked it out of the park last year on the Points contest. And Roamin42 showed all of us how to take home the bacon in the ROI contest. Points and ROI Totals through November 23, 2019
OK, so DonGuido must have found the magic potion he lost most of last year and starts out of the gate in the new year with a very good lead gaining 30 bonus points for a three-peat while landing 2nd in ROI as well. Cal828 adds nicely to his bank with a place in Pts while JolyB captures points hitting both the Pts nd ROI contest and Plenilune joins him doing the same. Lets not overlook NJ Stinks who spots us a couple of weeks and jumps into the fray with a very nice win in ROI. We'll lose a day of horse racing concentration, as we should, in celebrating Thanksgiving but that's OK as I understand turkey will all help us rest our brains more than ever so we can take on the next card. Don Guido captures minor rewards to dd to his ;ead and Cal828 hangs tough in the place spot while Cruzan 200246 jumps up toe 3 hole with nice hits in both contest including a win in ROI. RealQuiet lands a first in Pts adding nicely to his spot on the 4th rung of the ladder.

So we have some moving and grooving here as Cal828 hangs tough in the 2 hole with minor points added (not one of us hit anything in ROI) and JolyB nails the win in Pts moving up the ladder to the 3rd rung. RealQuiet lands a 2nd in pts maintaining his spot in the 4 hole and Plenilune captures a 3rd in Pts to add to her totals in 6th spot. Good bye to 2019 and HELLO 2020. It Will be a very good year. Got behind again and need to focus on Patty's surgery tomorrow with a follow up procedure on Jan 9, so this is a quick update Should be back to normal next week. Hmmmmmmm, DonGuido seems to have a magic lamp he's rubbing this year as he takes off to a pretty commanding lead so far and Cal828 is not too far behind nailing place spots in both contests. Real Quiet adds to his pocket with a nice 2nd in Pts and Plenilune and JolyB push their totals up with minor honors in the Pts contest. Lets see what happens at either Santa Anita or Gulfstream. Thanks for playing and don't forget to route for my Clemson Tigers in the CFP Championship game this coming Monday evening!!!
