Scav's...nice job, class act my friend.

To all others I met, it was a pleasure meeting all of you. There were a few I may not have introduced myself as I got there right before the race but we'll talk next time.

Great time at the OTB and ArlJim, nice picks. Had a great time.

Beth, my turn for drinks next time.

And now some good news....

I brought my camera and since I hate taking pictures (not that good at it) I decided to put it on the movie mode and just let it record from one miniute to post until after the race. As I did not want to miss watching the race I just kept it a waist level and panned back and forth. WOW, we now have our first race documentary and great footage of everyone, especially Scavs and Steve. I swear I did not do any of it intentionally. I'll have it up on YouTube as soo as I can figure out how to do it.

Hope to see y'all down the road,

Spyder from SC

Spyder my friend that is so SERIOUS. Dell and I were really getting into Sumwon in the stretch and I am sure we were acting like bufoons, but it was well worth it

As far as the Youtube thing, I can't wait......Tech people, get on your PM and give spyder some help

Scav, great job. What I like best about your synopsis is the fact you are able to convey the true passion you have for the game. No, it wasn't game 7of the World Series, the Super Bowl, or the Kentucky Derby. It didn't have to be. It was a beautiful July day in Arlington. Many non-race fans need to read this article you've written to understand a true race fan. Good luck to you and the rest of the crew. You will be in the winners circle soon.

after a rough couple of days i now have to time to thank everyone i met at Arlington Park for a great time. I have a similar log to Scavs but mine is not as interesting, just a bunch of daggers

WED. Morning: missed 650AM flight from Reagan, standby for 845AM/1045AM flights which are overbooked as it is, needless to say didn't get on either flight. Purchase another pricey ticket from another airline... boom im in the air.

After Sumwons race head over to trackside with other DT stable members 3Kings and I sit at the bar trying to figure out the late night racing form, didn't work for me, and i roll out.

Head to some bar near DePaul for $1 beers and annoying college kids who are staying at school for the summer, close @2AM, head to another bar called Franks (named after Sinatra) don't close until 4AM (mind you i have a 630AM flight from O'Hare). Catch a cab and get home @ 5AM, instead of packing and getting another cab i close the eyes for what seems like 5 minutes and wake up 4 hours later, yet another missed flight. Cab it up to the L-Train Irving Park where it takes an hour for the train to get to O'Hare. Room on the 1155AM flight to DC and im home

Wouldn't change a thing though, it was nice meeting all of you and i hope we can do it again real soon and also get the elusive winners circle pic together

Scav great synopsis... Had many of the same feelings myself. It was great meeting everyone and I also had a blast with all the DT members. It was also great to meet Chuck, Willie and Steve. All three were class acts and I would like to thank them for all they do. It was so much fun I may see everybody again in Saratoga. BT sorry about the flight issues, my 3:30 wake-up call for my 5:30 flight was also quite an experience.

Still waiting for my flight out of Albany.

BTW, I saw the youtube video and heard no woman screaming half as loud as I expected you to be based on your handicapping of the race. Did you lose your nerve without Sightseek there to scream with you?

Naw, Spyder accurately assessed my emotional fragility at that point in time, and wisely offered me a bourbon on the rocks while Sumwon was going to post.

That sorta took the edge off the screaming

I DID miss not having Sightseek there

Already checked Southwest since I know how to get to Midway and they were still $350. If the Toga trip goes well opening weekend, I am there

My experience at the Spa for what it is worth that you really have to pick your spots. Key on a couple a races a card. Ignore most of the talk about works and "inside information"... it generally just leads you to the poor house. Nothing surprising about that...
