Covfefe was super impressive. Couldn’t help but flashback to horses like Safely Kept, Meafara, and Soviet Problem while watching this.

I was in Press Box and rarely will you see that whole room turning to each other asking "what did we just see?" Privman was affixed to a replay watching to see if the timer stopped before she hit the wire and shook his head no.. "She really did that". It was unbelievable.

I'll throw in Xtra Heat to the mix above too..

So what time did Covfefe need for a 115? Under 1:07?

If you're seriously asking the question, she would have needed to run about 3.25L 'faster' for a 115 so a tick over 1:07.0.

That was a very exciting performance. Exciting start for a great two days of racing. I’ve been a little out of the loop the last two days but did the track speed up before her race? Seems strange the runner up would’ve also set a track record.

Much appreciated. I know I do jump the gun plenty and question figures, where my depth of knowledge is rudimentary, but I was trying to figure out if the track was that freaky fast, or the horse, or a combo. Something seems off. So again, thanks for taking the time to answer.

She win by 8 1/2 what are you talking about ?

It does seem low At 107 for a filly that broke a long standing track record by a ton.

Based on the time of the race the runner up ran fast enough to also eclipse the old track record.

Seems odd to me.

Don’t know if it sped up or down during the day but there were two 9f races for females that both went under 1:48, for what it’s worth.

Default Covfefe

That horse ran a really good race. 1:07 and 3. Broke the track record by a full second. Super impressive. That is a really, really good horse.

And a lot of good sprinters have run at Pimlico over the years. This was just jaw-dropping. I watched and all I could say was "Whoa".

Super-great performance. One of the best performances I seen in the last 10 years.

Super impressive filly, and 107 even feels a little low considering Chalon was also impressive and should be in the 100 range, but the track was definitely MUCH faster than normal. Pimlico has no run-up at 6F, unlike most major tracks- so times average about a second slower than comparable tracks. It's rare that anybody breaks 1:10.
