not sure i will be able to watch the caps today. apparently the station here is going to show a local telethon instead, but we're hoping it's not the case. satellite radio as a back-up, but i will not be happy if i can't watch!

The officiating in the NHL right now is a disgrace. Talk about losing control of a game? These guys are clueless.

i blame bylsma. he should never have left neal out there after that hit. and then neal promptly goes after giroux. i guess he figured he's not going to play the next game after leaving his feet and taking out couterier?

what a mess, will they ever start play again?

I think the Neal hit on Couterier was an accident. Not the one on Giroux, though.

It would be a better game Wednesday if Pittsburgh holds goaltender tryouts between now and then. Fleury was a sieve today.

To my eye, they were 2 guys going in opposite directions, I thought Neal jumped up to try and avoid the contact, when he realized he couldn't he braced himself and appeared to deliver the blow. That's how I saw it.

Rumor has it a certain trainer who is regular on this board was in attendence today. Could be starting in net for the pens on wed. Will be a BIG upgrade.

133 minutes in penalties handed down in the game today. 62 just for the last bit-guess they wanted to outdo their last regular season match-up. i think they did!
