Big Brown is the best horse in the country. He wins the Florida Derby easily.

This is easily the most interesting field for a 3-yo derby prep.
Unless it's a swamp like last weekend, this will be a great betting race, and you really have no idea where the money is going to go.
I assume Big Brown will be the favorite, and if he gets a post-position draw somewhere between 1 and 5, that's probably where my money will be going, too.
Very interested to see Tomcito, Hey Byrn, Smooth Air and Elysium Fields, as well.

This race is a little bit like the dirt version of the San Felipe.

In the San Felipe you had three very interesting horses in Georgie Boy, Bob Black Jack, and Gayego all stretching out making there routing debuts on the derby trail. And you had one interesting foreign mystery horse in Shediak.

In the Florida Derby you have three horses all making there debuts in derby trail Stake races in Big Brown, Hey Byrn, and Face The Cat - you have one interesting foreign mystery horse in Tomcito. You also get Elysium Fields as an added bonus in this one.

i am confused by this post ? no idea where the money will go, are you kidding me ? he will be lower then 2-1, big brown is going to get pounded at the window, and he may win, but there is no value at all betting him in this spot.

There may not be value, but he simply may be the best horse in the race. The interesting part is the mystery surrouding tomcito, hey byrn, etc..
You may get 10-1 on a horse like Face the Cat or Smoot Air who certainly could end up being something special.

Default Ouch... Big Brown to the Outside.

Big Brown drew the outside post in a field of 12 for the Florida Derby. Should be interesting...

I just saw where Curlin drew the 12 hole for the DWC... I can't remember how Nad Al Sheba is set up, but don't they have a pretty good run into the first turn.

This is all I've found thus far...

http://dubairacingclub.com/dubaiworl...d=314&post=684

and I'm not smart enough to tell if this is final or not... It does have Curlin in the 12 hole.

For those of you that are metrically challenge the World Cup is 2000 meters so there is a 400 meter (1/4 mile) run to the first turn. Should be plenty of time to find position.

Why is Affirmed, Seattle Slew, and a few of the others making a comeback for the race? Not like there are any world beaters in the race OR a large field. So, WHO CARES where he breaks from.
