Fact is, we need China to step in badly....this guy is nuts and would rather have a nuclear weapon than feed his own people.

I really don't see this at WWIII yet.

It's not there yet. I'm worried about Iraq, Afganistan, and the situation in Iran as well. There is a lot of stuff going on right now...

Well, I don't have anything to go by other than the news, and the NY Times is the elite media. It is one of the best and most correct sources of information out there. I'm sure that there are a lot of things in place to prevent this, but still...

Really? didn't realize that....

this guy somes up this pschopath

Charles Kartman, who was the lead negotiator with North Korea under the Clinton administration, said last week that North Korea had few other options than saber-rattling.

"If they feel they are not getting interaction with us, they tend to do things to get our attention. And the tools that they have are all bad ones," he said. "The missiles, the nuclear program, the military."

It can be dangerous to only use one medium as your source for news as you will get the news filtered to fit their agenda and almost all have one. The more sources you get your news from the better equipped you are to reach your own conclusions on the issue. It can be amazing how different the same story can look when written by journalists on opposite sides of the political spectrum.

I don't use just one source, it's just that I go with the NY Times if the sources are conflicting. I also look at Townhall.com (Repub), Washington Post, U.S.A. Today, Newsweek,...etc. Does anyone actually know what the elite media is? Look it up. It is different from the mass media like the stuff that is on TV. The elite media holds a lot more weight than the mass media does.

KRose,
That's why i put up the story from Austrailia on this thread.
Some would rather debate "where you heard it" rather than "what it says".
btw...France pulled out of their deal with Iran..but that's a different story.
We're not at WW III yet.
I wouldn't want to live in S Korea or Japan for that matter.
That said, pay very careful attention to Putin and Russia and their arms dealings with Iran. If their strong arm tactics with Georgia show a little, in the long run, they'll show a lot more.

You're right, we're not there yet, but I'm worried. Too many wars going on right now...

The Donger was a pretty cool guy who even got lucky with the tall chick in the movie.
I'd say its a stretch to elevate seattle that high.

How did my political thread turn into talking about the characters off the Breakfast Club? LOL.

No really, I really liked that movie, and yes, BR, my college professors adore me...

I don't know if I'm annoying though...maybe I am
