Default Bracket Projection

I've been doing these since I was about 12. Here is my final bracket projection. I named the regions since it was easier even though they don't use the region names anymore.

Midwest
1 Ohio St.
2 Georgetown
3 Texas A&M
4 Nevada Las Vegas
5 Notre Dame
6 Tennessee
7 Arizona
8 Southern California
9 Virginia Commonwealth
10 Virginia
11 Davidson
12 Georgia Tech
13 Wright St.
14 Oral Roberts
15 Miami OH
16 Florida A&M/Jackson St

West
1 Kansas
2 UCLA
3 Pittsburgh
4 Nevada
5 Brigham Young
6 Maryland
7 Xavier
8 Villanova
9 Indiana
10 Purdue
11 Kansas St.
12 Gonzaga
13 New Mexico St.
14 Long Beach St.
15 Belmont
16 Weber St.

South
1 Florida
2 Memphis
3 Texas
4 Washington St.
5 Louisville
6 Creighton
7 Virginia Tech
8 Duke
9 Illinois
10 Winthrop
11 Old Dominion
12 Air Force
13 George Washington
14 Texas A&M Corpus Chris
15 Eastern Kentucky
16 North Texas

East
1 North Carolina
2 Wisconsin
3 Oregon
4 Southern Illinois
5 Marquette
6 Butler
7 Boston College
8 Kentucky
9 Michigan St.
10 Vanderbilt
11 Syracuse
12 Holy Cross
13 Albany
14 Pennsylvania
15 Niagara
16 Central Connecticut

Midwest and the East are on one side of the bracket, South and West are on the other side.

I'm booting Texas Tech and Stanford which a lot of the analysts don't feel will be the case.

I was right on the four 1 seeds but I'm pretty shocked that Ohio St was #3 overall. Why Florida is in the Midwest and Ohio St in the South makes no sense to me.

Yeah, that is going to be a 12 over a 5 on like 75% of people's picks I imagine.

UNLV got shafted getting a 7.

Looks like Scavs may be going to Columbus and staying with Curt for the Salukis game.

#4 seed...not too bad Scavs.

They are playing a pretty good Holy Cross team. I smell
an upset. I think this team is better than the Bucknell
teams that made in for the Patriot League.

Seriously, Kansas may have the toughest opening round game for a 1 seed of all time. Niagara finished winning 11 in a row. They started 1-6 when half their team was suspended and went 21-5 after that. Their RPI was better than 5 other teams in the field. Niagara over Kansas, I'm calling it now.

Cause Niagara always needs more power forwards.

Siena should dominate the league next year.

Two wrong in that bracket. Was perfect until then. I'm pissed Texas Tech got in, they didn't deserve it over Air Force. I'm guessing Arkansas must have bumped Kansas St or Syracuse.

Totally baffling. I think Texas Tech was totally baffling as well. Air Force won by 34 at Stanford and beat Texas Tech by 14 on a neutral court. Kansas St beat Texas Tech head to head in the conference tourney. Yet Air Force and Kansas St don't get in and TT and Stanford do.

Texas Tech and Illinois are piss poor teams. Arkansas I can understand a little bit, they benefitted from playing on the final day with few teams, regardless of how they did. How Illinois or Texas Tech got in, I have no idea, no idea whatsoever.

Illinois is a better team than Texas Tech or Stanford. At least they are more qualified. How Texas Tech got a 10 seed is even more amazing

I guess sweeping Texas A&M and beating Kansas in their only meeting, doesn't mean anything.

I was thinking of the losses to Baylor (terrible) and Nebraska (bad) at home, losing to non-tourney teams Air Force by 14,Missouri by 13, Oklahoma by 14, Kansas State by 20 and getting blown out by Texas by 30, and losing 5 straight late in the season. No Knight, No red Raiders in the Tourney.
