When I was playing seriously, I utilized three things...the DRF, the race synopsis of Bogar in the Harrisburg paper (not so much his picks but he had inside info...recent private purchases etc) and my trip notes. Now days, I rely on the DRF and my memory (less and less).

drf, replays, notes, some stats stuff and my own theories. My latest theory requires a review of the effect of distance changes on the turf, especially on 7F turf courses. Differences on races started out of the chute (8.5, 9F) vs those on the straight (7.5F, 8F). Got that one ready for the la-bor-a-tory, when I get the time.... otherwise just go with Hooves plays.

Cool

I still use the DRF and have for many years.... ( back when it cost about a buck... am I dating myself ? )... I have found watching TVG.. (without betting.. Belive that or not ).. and making notes has helped in future races and also getting a handle on different tracks, esp with ship ins to other tracks. Sometimes I feel that the form gives you toooooo much information and sometimes clouds the race.. Many times I have changed my mind after re-reading a race and not going with my first choice. But I will say this there is Nothing like gettin the advance BC (drf) form and looking at it for Two weeks before the Breeders Cup !!

I use the Bris PP's for my core analysis backed up by the DRF for the commentary and alternative perspective. I like the sheets but too expensive so I use them only on special occasions, big investment days.

Am I a drf guy?
Well, I don't hear as well as I used to.
What?
What did you say?
I might be a litle deaf, but I read the form, also look at replays, and talk to people....though sometimes I don't hear what they say so well.
Is that what you asked?
What?
