Can we finally finish with the Rutgers Big program talk ?
Can we please take all the ""big time program"" of Coach Schiano and the
Rutgers / Big East Football and move it to where it belongs. After all the $$ put into this program and the ""other school "" sports having money takin away. The ego of the president to make this a ""happy valley"" or any other successful program is Not working. Sure RU is a nice school stuck between NY and Philly Pro teams, but a "big time"" football school ? Lets get back to playing the Temple's of the world and forget this pipe dream. Im sure soooo many are glad that Coach Schiano Stayed !! Just think if he left for green pastures . Where would the program be now ??????

Worst thing to ever happen to Rutgers, was when Schiano passed on the Michigan job!

I am an RU Business School alumni. I donate a lot of money to the school every year, and while obviously I care about the performance of the football team, it isn't the most important thing. Academic ranking and facilities matter much more.
They can't run the ball. The loss of Ray Rice is hurting them pretty bad. That said, it's 2 games and we probably will still win 7 and go to some irrelevant bowl like 60 other college teams. What do you think they're saying at UCLA right now? Or Michigan? |

RU got a group of local and regional players to come and put the program on soild footing. they've graduated and the players there now aren't as talented. if this group can at least hold the line until they get help. RU will be ok. recruiting the NE right now is a gauntlet. uconn, pitt, ru, psu, delaware, wvu, umd, all after the same players. the key could be JoePa retiring. what school steps in to fill the void.
